TOPIC: Let Jesus Be Seen In Your Life (TREM Devotional 21 July 2021)
‘’The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.’’ John 12:21. KJV
Beloved, do you know that there are people who can never go to heaven if Christ is not seen you? Why? Because the only Christ they can see is you. You are His hands and His feet. We are members of His body. “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones” (Ephesians 5:30 KJV). There are people who have never read or heard about Jesus, but they should be able to see Jesus in you. “Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father” (John 14:9 KJV).
People want to see Jesus, not doctrine! The people that came to Philip requested to see Jesus. “The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus” (John 12:21 KJV). They didn’t say they wanted to see church, doctrine, ritual, religion or gimmicks. They wanted to see Jesus! Can Jesus be seen in your life? In your household? Show them the Jesus of the Bible!
How involved are you? Christ will be seen in you when you make up your mind to be a person who adds value. Who is your family and your business adding value to? Who is being influenced by your life? Who are you touching every day? When people come to you, do they leave better than they came? That is where the rubber meets the road.
The Bible declares that we are, “the salt of the earth” and “the light of the world” (Matthew 5:13 & 14 KJV). Salt is a preservative; it adds taste to food. When people come around you, do you add flavour to their lives or are you repulsive to them? Are they uncomfortable around you because of your attitude and behaviour? Let Christ be seen in you.
